0-6 Mo Free baby sock pattern

Adorable Ian again, in his cute panda soy baby socks (color is Cocoa Mint) .

Also shown here are the same socks in Maizy Earth color.

and now you can knit the free pattern Crystal Palace Baby Socks

by the way - Ian in the photo is 15 pounds and 5 mo old... grandma Beth, member of the Crystal Palace Knit-Team, said that the socks were perfect as there was even a little "room to grow".

blessings, :L

ps the pattern is designed for fingering-wt sock yarns, such as Panda Soy, Maizy, Panda Cotton,
and i think Panda Wool and Panda Silk [knitting those now]. You can easily knit it with #2 us needles, or #1.5 depending on what you need for gauge.
remember, babies don't walk! so their socks don't have to be super-dense to stand wear...
just need to be adorable!

............. hmmm. the socks could be plain - the babies are the adorable ones!

blessings, :L

ps there is also a pretty lacey panda silk baby sock on the site at www.straw.com - free patterns!

May news!! New Kits coming!

What do i have OTN: "on the needles"?
I am doing another version of the sock in these exciting new kits!!

These are pics of the NEW Crystal Palace kits called "Crazy8".
This one is Panda Wool, and is my own knit.
This is a picture of Samantha's model in Panda Cotton.
And this is a picture of Beth's knit model also using Panda Wool.

The plan is to make kits with Panda Cotton, Panda Wool, Maizy, and later Panda Soy!!

The kits will include 5 Crystal Palace DPN plus and 1 full skein of the MC, and enough of 4-5 coordinated colors wound off to make ANY woman's size, and a man's small-to-medium size!!

And i promise it is fun fun fun!!

ps i also posted this on my own blog SiriusKnitting

Pink is for Patternworks and Adrienne Fong

These pretty "Menehune" socks Menehune socks Free pattern were designed and knit by Adrienne Fong Bellybutton Knits, using Panda Cotton and they work equally well with Panda wool.

What's even neater is that the socks were featured in the most recent patternworks catalog on the 2-page crystal palace spread and i'm so happy they picked her! (maybe my turn will come one of these days ... slightly off-topic but WHY is "envy" green?)

Adrienne is entry # 4 in our Pink is for February contest!

More Socks .... Thinking Pink!

These first two pics are of the Menehune sock (featured in the newest Patternworks catalog!) and designed by Adrienne Fong for either Panda Wool or Panda Cotton.

The lovely Crystalline Lattice socks by Janice Kang are knit in Panda Wool
The Peppermint Panda sock here is my design (Laura A- SiriusKnitting) featuring Panda Cotton in one of the newest Dotty Pink colorways
Finally, here below is a mini-cable sock in Merino 5

The white model is one I knit; the other was knit by Bianca Becker.

More PINK- and hints for coming month's contest colors

The lovely "model" in the pretty pink panda silk sock is Susi's daughter - for whom these socks were a valentine's gift!
how nice is that? !

The lovely Panda Silk Socks shown here were knit by Susi S. - with yarn she won in our Panda Silk drawing! They are to be a surprise valentine's gift for her daughter, so will soon have more pics to share.
Anyway, Pink is for February - contestant #1 is Susi S!!

The 2nd sock is my own design, Panda Cotton/Panda Wool Scallops [have used both for this pattern]. scallops sock and it won the "knitter's seal of approval" in being one of the last sock patterns knit by my beloved friend Debra Chinn.

ps if you are paying attention - am going to tell you that
"Aquamarine is for March" [pale aqua] and
the color for April is "light blue greens or blue mix for April Showers"
and for May "

pretty socks!

pretty socks too. they're panda wool and just a lovely colorway!
what i love about seeing socks knit up, besides the stitch patterns, is that often the yarn is even prettier on the sock than in the skein

This is an enjoyable blog to explore... wish i lived in the seattle area, as i'd love to take lessons!

Crosshatch Panda Wool Socks

Outside there is "white stuff" falling from the sky and it looks like over 2 inches. so that makes me not only enjoy the beauty but also think of green and so these socks qualify.

there's also the lovely Crosshatch Lace and the wonderful Panda Wool.

Panda Wool

These pics are of a sock design i'm playing with, using 2 new colors of Panda Wool. One is called Neptune, and the other is Night Shades. The honeycomb with Night Shades behind the Neptune works well (towards the bottom) but the rows above don't show off the Neptune inside the Night Shades. So the knit is working out differently than my vision,
but now i see how best to do it.... This is a man's sock, and so far DH loves it. The colors are just smashing!

The sock below is Panda Wool "Circus" and is knit by Debbie. More details at Embellishknits

Debbie's gorgeous knitting! so even and pretty!

You can see these colors and more at http://www.straw.com/

Panda Wool Sock Visions - Part 1 Aug. 22

This first sock is a Panda Wool anklet CrystalPalace Yarns-AnnNorling.

Next is this gorgeous sock by Janet B, and she's used the Circus colorway of Panda Wool found here . The design by Nancy Wild is called tumbling blocks and can be found with the many

other FREE patterns at the Crystal Palace Site http://www.straw.com/).

This yarn is a joy to knit with - and i love the colorways.
The spectacular design below is by Janice Kang and is called Crystalline Lattice. Next is another Ann Norling pattern, in the pretty Basil Curry Colorway.
The inset is a fun sock i'm working on "in my spare time" that uses 3 different colors of the panda wool.
You can see the lovely cinnamon reds and the fern green and the white. I had to set the sock aside at this point, where heel is next.

Did you know that the Panda Wool is also available in natural hanks for those who want to do their own dyeing!?
