the design is called the 'Pour Moi' wrister - knit with Bamboozle in the Rainforest colorway, which is also snazzy.
I have to get some of this yarn!!
the designer modified a wrister to be fingerless gloves - as described above.

Thanks for posting, Laura! The pattern is actually called the "Warm braid cable wristwarmers" (my blog entry was called "Pour Moi" because I am often teased for *never* making anything for me, and these were *finally* pour moi!).
